About 5 months ago I moved into a little one bedroom apartment that needed a some TLC. I scrubbed. I disinfected. I painted. And then, because I sold almost everything I owned when I moved out of my last place, I shopped for furniture. I’m pretty thrifty and I enjoy the hunt for a good bargain so I spent a lot of time digging through thrift stores and searching Craigslist for most of the things that are in my home.
The chairs were pretty scuffed up but because I don’t own fancy tools—or have a place to keep them—I just bought a wood stain pen and colored in the scratches. It’s probably not the most professional way to “refinish” a chair but… it works.
Then I bought some pretty fabric and stapled it to the seat. I knew I’d be good at this last part because I got a degree that taught me to be a pro at stapling canvas to wooden frames.
And voila! CHAIR! To finish them off, I sewed little pillows for the backs. Come over and sit on them! We’ll hang out… it’ll be fun.
