MPLS In LA

This past weekend some very dear friends from Minneapolis visited me. And ya know what? We had the best time.

We explored fun little towns and yummy breakfast places. (We all really love food.)

(Look at this pretty lady! She’s looking at her husband—I can tell from this photo that she loves him very, very much.)

And we totally went to Disneyland!!! I didn’t get very many photos at the park because I was too busy riding amazing rides and eating snacks. (I love this kind of crap soooo much.)

And of course we visited the ocean (several times). I think riding bikes along the boardwalk was one of my favorite moments. That, and when they had their first celebrity sighting at breakfast. So famous!

It was such a relaxing three days—it was hard to see them go! I wish life could be like that all the time—one continuous vacation. I can’t wait for all the fun hangouts we’ll have this summer! (And all the food we’ll eat together).

Thanks, friends!

Hometown Hangouts (A Reason To Be Thankful)

Last weekend I got to go home for Thanksgiving and see my family and friends.

Love. Them.

It’s always fun/disturbing to see how things have changed since I’ve been gone. For instance, my parents have moved the trash can in the kitchen. It’s very confusing. It tricks me every time. Luckily a few of my favorite hangout spots have remained the same and I was able to get the gang together on Saturday to visit them—just like old times.

One of the best things about coming home for a holiday is that ev-er-y-one is in town. Over the years we’ve scattered all over the country but sooner or later we all make it back home.

I can’t tell what the emotion is in this picture—but I like it. I swear we were all having a good time.

I wish I had more photos to share… I just got a new camera (which I will post about later) and I was still trying to figure it out during my trip.

Lesson #1: Do not push it past 800 ISO. No! Don’t! So much digital noise… I ruined a lot of pictures that way…

In conclusion, I have so much to be thankful for. I could fill an entire post with just that. So I’ll just say—Thanks friends (and family) for the amazing Thanksgiving weekend and for being awesome and for being in my life and for making me laugh and for eating Amigos with me at 2AM. And thanks to my Mom for making me some special vegetarian dishes for Thanksgiving dinner.

Until Christmas…
